Zebra Stripes

Four plains zebras bring scores of stripes to enhance the Mara River in the Masai Mara region of Kenya. These specific creatures are known as Grants zebras, the smallest subspecies of the populous plains zebra. These are readily identified  by their clean strong markings and smaller stature. They live to be 20 to 30 yeas of age in the wild, and longer in captivity.. All members of the zebra  family are African equine. They are primarily found in eastern and southern Africa, living in savanna woodlands and grasslands.
